I worked a lot of stations om 10 meter today. All European stations, especially from Italy very strong signals. It's too early for sporadic E, so what is it? Or is it the interplanetary shock wave that hit Earth's magnetic field on Jan. 11th. The impact just after 08:30 UTC did not trigger a geomagnetic storm. However, strong magnetic fields downstream of the shockfront opened a crack in Earth's magnetosphere. Solar wind poured in to fuel a nice display of Arctic auroras. I worked with FT8: ISØKNG, IK5FKF, IT9FRX, EA3GLE, EC3A, OZ4TX, E76C, IT9AJP and LZ1AG.
