Sporadic E on 10 meter

I did some FT8, because I didn't hear any CW station on 20 meter this morning. Best catch was TA7K Kadir (see photo) from Asiatic Turkey. I made some QSO's. This afternoon I was listening on 10 meter, and there was some activity. A lot of EU countries were active. I was reported by VU2OT with -15dB.

  1. Good evening Paul, I too (other than contest weekends) have found very few CW contact possibilities these days. When I am on lets say 20m and on my waterfall I am seeing very little CW opportunities BUT on the FT8 segment of the band it is glowing with possible contacts. The issue I have found these days is it's very hard to find an open spot on the waterfall to call CQ on.
    73,
have a great rest of the week Paul.

    1. Hi Mike, I think a lot of us is using FT8 as their main mode. If you want to make some contacts then we have to use FT8. 73 Paul

  2. Hi Paul. Very good! Signals also strong here in Wales, but quite weak going out in the other direction, unfortunately. Es is certainly getting more frequent and stronger now, as we are only a month or so from the summer solstice.

    1. Hi John, the best is yet to come. I like 10 meter very much, it's my favorite band. Always waiting for the big surprise. When to band opens up then it's wonderful what you can hear. 73 Paul
