I think that FT8 is the new successor for PSK31. Nobody is using JT9 for example. I will return to CW, the mode which will stay forever.

ft8 is a zombie Mode, is a contact mode that's it the computer is having all the fun, psk31 and olivia, hell. RTTY cw, are all qso mode. ft8 has its part in ham radio but the aura disappear fast when all you do on ft8 is make contacts.
