Meteor detection by radio

We can do more with radio. E.g. detection of meteors by radio. Here they use the VHF frequency 55.240 Mhz. Tuning for a strong carrier of a television station and then it's possible to detect the meteor trail because of ionization. Here we see about 2 - 3 meteors a minute that means an average of 150 meteors/hour. In about a month we will have the Perseid Meteor Shower 11-12 August. Wait and see. The first part of the video is recorded in the early morning. That is the best time for meteors when the earth moving towards the meteors. The last part shows meteor detection in the early afternoon, hardly any meteor.
