First contact - new DXCC

My first contact in the new year is immediately a new DXCC. On 12 m I heard V5/DL3DXX Namibia - Africa with CW. With 35 wpm I could work him.

48 American soldiers died at the crossing on September 20, 1944. Now they made a new bridge at that place, still remembering those brave soldiers who died there.

The Crossing - A special video about a bridge, I made a few days ago.

  1. Very nice contact and it's the stations you just stumble on that making the contact is cool and then to boot it's a new DXCC. I find going to the cluster to see what is out there is good but if it's rare then the pile up is huge. So just search and pounce can yield some very nice contacts.

    1. Hi Mike, I don't like huge pile ups, I try a few calls, and then I move on. 73 Paul
