Runaway Tx Watchdog

I got this pop up, but I don't know what it means. Do you know what it is?

Update: I emailed Joe Taylor and he answered: "It means that you sent the same message more than 5 times in succession." Okay, now I know.

  1. I think I saw some discussion about this. I think it comes up if the program is left sending the same text for more than a certain number of cycles. It's a safeguard for old farts like me who walk away from the computer leaving the program CQing endlessly.

    1. Hi Julian, indeed that was the problem. I emailed Joe Taylor and he emailed me: It means that you sent the same message more than 5 times in succession. 73 Paul

  5. Hi. I just ran into this message today and it came up in RED FONT. Silliness. Why not just have a message "Maximum Number of Sends Exceeded!" That would be a lot clearer than "Runaway TX Watchdog". Without knowing what this meant, I thought maybe some spawned thread or something in the application had run amuck, and the program had to terminate it to keep from going berserk.... -john, KG7FIU
