Today I thought: maybe I should try JT9-1 again. It was some time ago I did work JT9. So I tuned on 20 meter (14078 KHz) for JT9-1 stations. First I worked RX3DHR and UA3IGA. First I was running 25 watts, but when I get a report of +6dB from Russia I turned down the power to 5 watts, which is enough for JT9-1 After a short while VK7XX John from Tasmania was calling me. So I worked 16.943 km with 5 watt and my end fed wire. Wow!
I did have problems with copying the signals of UA3IGA because his signal was also very loud and distorted so I could not decode his signal, after I turned down the RF gain I could decode his signal again.
Earlier today I worked SM7AAC on 80 meter with JT65A.
