WSPR on 80 m

Propagation on 80 m this morning was very good. A lot of US stations reported me.

The kids are back to school, the holiday season is over. So for me more time for radio this week.

  1. jGood morning Paul, the kids are back to school here as well so most things are back to normal....including the heavy traffic home from work each day. I had tried 80m WSPR here the other week and it did not work out to well. Maybe I will give it a go again next weekend. My dipole only goes to 40m band so I am using the tuner to get on 80m.

    1. Hello Mike, I don't have the troubles of heavy traffic anymore, because I am retired. The XYL is to work and the kids are at school. WSPR: just give it a try on 80 m, you'll never know. 73 Paul

  3. Morning Paul:
Getting back into the swing of things here too - noticed enhanced conditions here on 2m in the uk last couple of days as some of the locals have reported contacts of 70 Km - I have been recently getting on Vhf too and have been enjoying it.

Keep up the good work Paul (Nice being retired as you can get on during the day and work rare openings) :-)

    1. Hi Peter, VHF is also nice to work. Only I don't have antennas for it. Only a small vertical for local repeaters here. 73 Paul
