It happens not very often that I work with phone (SSB) - last night I heard YL2GUV calling CQ on 80 meters. Normally the band is full with rag chews and seldom very interesting talks anyway. But I called him and he came back for me with a 57 report for me. We had a pleasant short qso. When I monitor the phone parts of the HF band (and VHF too) I know why I don't like phone: too much bull**** that's why I prefer CW and digi modes, it's right to the point.
On 10 & 12 meter I worked UA9CEB and UA9AFT with psk31 both 6500 km away from me. With FM I heard N2RRA from New York on 29.615 MHz in qso with a France station. In the late afternoon I let WSPR run for a short while until sunset.
Do you noticed that the Solar Flux is 169 and 144 sunspots! We should keep an eye on the higher bands.
