Hey, I am still here

Hey! Hello world, I am still here… nothing really happens so far. Tonight we are going to the movie ‘The Hobbit’ with the kids. They are having vacation now, tired of 4 months of high school. Relaxing time arrived.

I do have respect for someone going outside with his rig while it’s cold and raining. Even in summer I will not go out with the rig, too much hassle. Yeah, I am lazy, I know…

I was for a short time calling CQ on 20 meter with JT65, no qso but here are my spots where I was heard. ON4PB has selected the wrong band.

I removed several blogs from the blogroll who haven't update their blog the last six months. A blog is useful when it's updated on regular bases.

  1. Hi Paul. Somewhere between 250,000 and 300,000 people die each day, so for them, today, will be the end of the world.

30 years as amateur and I have never operated outdoors or during a Field Day. Had enough of that during my military tour as a radioman.

    1. Hi Dick, yes you are right. I remember when I was at the primary school when people say that the world should end that day. Some people going to the Mont Blanc, as a save haven. Of course nothing happened.

Once I took a hand held for 2 meter outside, while biking. But when I was ready to make a contact, a man stopped and ask me what I was doing. This country is too crowded for finding a silent place to work with a rig.

When I go outside I take only a camera with me. No radio equipment.

  5. Good evening Paul, I have done some outdoor op's only during the summer months mind you. If in the winter it is from the warm car. I have had a blast outside in a small little park that is close to me and even has a washroom in it just in case nature calls. I always make sure I check the weather and make sure not rain is in the picture.
