No radio... and it feels fine

Now I am one week without the radio and computer in the shack. I could do some CW or Phone, but I didn't feel like to do something with it. I was afraid for a cold turkey, the first 3 days were pretty hard, but now I am feeling well without it. Yesterday I was listening on 40 meter, but I heard a quarrel between Dutch and Italian amateurs about the use of a particular frequency. I was immediately fed up with the radio and turned it off. Now I enjoy reading, watching films and do some walking & biking instead of radio. Can you imagine how it feels? Have a nice weekend.

  3. Hello Paul. Same condition here. I have been very inactive lately. A few USA stations worked as QRO and a few Euros as QRP. Restricted to 20M so no band-switching. More on-line reading using the cheap tablet. 73 Dick

  4. Good morning Paul, just like you and Dick I have evenings when I get done all that has to be done and there is nothing left in me for radio time. BUT there is more to radio than just operating the radio. I have some radio magazines to read, blogs to read and comment on and just plan old relaxing as well.
You have a great weekend Paul

73, Bas

  9. Hello Paul, I have not been on the air for months. I have planned to do the CQ WW DX CW contest, late November. On the background I am busy working at my attenuator page of my website. I made some nice drawings and tables, but the ink for the texts dried up. hi Good luck, 73, Bert
