Yemen

Finally I worked 7O6T on 20 meter. It was very early in the morning 4:42 and I heard them working on 20 meter band. So I gave it a try, and yes, they heard me. It is for me a new DXCC, number 108. I am not a DX chaser really, that's why I didn't work more over the years. I am not going to try for hours to call one station in a pile up. I just call a few times and then I quit.

As you can see conditions were poor this morning, but never mind, just try, you'll never know.

Yes, I am in their log.

Very nice catch early in the morning - I heard them too but not worked, just scanned all the bands and not a lot to be heard - extremely poor cond'x - but at least the the sun is shining HI..
Yesterday I put up a 6m beam up 30' so will be looking for contacts.

;-) 73 Paul

  4. Hello Paul,

Great catch, especially under the band coditions, and the fun of catching him in such a short time. It doesn't get any better than this!

  5. Good morning Paul, that sure is great news and I have to get hopping and get my QRP buns on the air and snag them. I have been trying but most of the time during prime hours so the pileups were huge. Mybe with this new sunspot and its potential 10 and 12m will get rolling.
