2 meter activity

On 2 meter were good tropo conditions. I heard MØODV from Hull with my quarter wave vertical and some repeaters from Germany and Belgium. On the repeater channels was some chaos because of tropo conditions. I listen for a hour to all activity on 2 meter. [watch the video]

On 20 meter I heard on 14060 KHz 8N5A from Japan with good signals here. He was calling CQ Contest. I gave a call but he didn't hear me

  2. Yes very strange conditions, we were out walking and I had my VX-8GR APRS radio with me, around 12:29 UTC I suddenly received beacons from a bunch of distant stations including one from France and one from Denmark. Probably digipeated somewhere but still unusual to receive on a handheld radio while walking along a clifftop in north west England.

73 Paul

  4. Hello Julian, fantastic tropospheric conditions on 2 meter and 70 cm. I worked England for the first time on 2 meter with CW. Really nice. 73 Paul
