Expensive antenna

A new tax in the city of Evergem, Belgium for constructions higher then 20 meter. A Belgium ham radio operator must pay now 3000 Euro per year for his two antenna towers. That's a lot of money. For that money he can buy a Magnetic Loop up 19 meters. (read more >>>) I am glad I have simple antenna's. Today it's tropic again. Maximum temperature of 33 C. Just stay out of the sun, and yes... we beat Brazil! Now we go to the semifinal next Tuesday.

  1. Ouch! That stings.

Congratulations on the victory in the soccer that was a big win. I don't like football but if the Dutch winning means we will see more of the girls in Orange then Come on Holland! ;0)

  3. Too many towers are eyesores. While I appreciate our hobby very much, I would never erect a tower no matter how much room I had.

I think of them as the equivalent of polluting highway billboards.
Sorry, but that is my opinion.

I'm going to lay in a case "orange" beer for the next match. 73 Dick

    Hallo Bas,
LOL! Dat is dan wel een heel vroege 1 april grap. Ik weet het niet, hoor. Maar goed, ik had weer een blog item. 73 Paul

Hi Dick, I agree with you. And I think it's not really necessary to enjoy the hobby. I do not have the guts the climb into such a tower. 73 Paul
