WinPsk 2.13

I have downloaded WinPsk 2.13 and I am using it for 2 days. I like this program. Pros: small size, it's free, display is nice better than Digipan, CW ID at the end. Cons: a little text in macros, no log. This morning I worked with PSK31: OK1NE second part of qso lost because of qrm, DM5OKR on 40 meter and IW5AUD on 20 meter.

  1. Hallo Paul,

I like the look of WinPSK. Might be just what I need to inspire me to get back into PSK.

Where is everyone? I have had a look at 20M and 40M this evening and they are dead as Do-Do's!

Yeah, I would have liked to work Andorra. Can't imagine there are lots of stations in that little country. Perhaps I heard the only one!!!

  2. Hello Adam, I really like PSK for a change. I do not always like talking, sometimes I do not feel for CW, then PSK is the solution. The weekends are always busy here with all kind of activities. So not so much times for ham radio, maybe Sunday morning a few hours. 73, Paul

  3. WinPSK? That's a blast from the past isn't it? If my memory isn't playing up that was written about 10 years ago by Moe Wheatley AE4JY who created from it the PSK Core DLL which many people (myself included) used to add PSK31 capability to their own programs.

Personally I don't think you can beat Fldigi. It does PSK31 and a whole lot more, with a nice user interface and a basic logger. It has a good PSK browser so you can see all the activity and it supports spotting to PSK Reporter, so you can become part of the network.

  4. Hello Julian, thank you for pointing me out to Fldigi. I was not familiar with it, but I checked out their web site, and now I have installed it on my computer. Very, very nice. Thank you. 73, Paul
