Photo: Utah Beach, Normandy, France. I worked TM6JUN, a D-DAY anniversary Special event Station at Utah beach on 20 meter with CW. I also worked HA7SBQ, Viktor from Gyomro, Hungary with CW on 20 meter.


  1. Hello Paul. I visited all the beaches last autumn. Very moving for me to see the graves of so many of my young countrymen. My French friends from that part of Normandy said they would never forget the sacrifices of those young Americans.

    World War 2...the last "good" war.


  2. Hi Dick, A few years ago we visit Normandy also. It's sad to realize how many young men died for our freedom. The freedom of Europe started there, indeed, we must never forget.
